This is an Antique American quilt, made circa 1915s-1925s. It is a traditional applique quilt. This piece has been masterfully hand quilted, hand appliqued, and handsewn, which is a labor of love and a dying art. We were able to capture a lot of the stitching and applique in our photos. Please enjoy. We could not find this specific applique pattern in the quilt encyclopedia, it is very very rare. We love how subtle the petals are and the play on the positive and negative space. This piece reads as a neutral and is very easy to style. It is extremely comfortable to wear. In our opinion the quilt is very thin, very soft, very light weight, with a little loft (puffiness). This piece has an excellent drape. The inside of the jacket shows a little wear. Overall the applique is in great condition.
