This is an American, antique quilt made circa the 1930s-1940s. It is a traditional Apple Core quilt pattern. The piece is nicely hand-quilted and hand-sewn, which is a labor of love and a lost art. This piece contains many beautiful fabrics from its era. It is important to note that the plaid fabric on the backing of the quilt, inside of the jacket, is a flannel. It is very soft and luxe; however, if you live in a warm climate, this may not be a good mate for you due to the flannel.
- In our opinion, this quilt is very lightweight with a medium loft (puffiness) and medium thickness. If you are looking for a jacket to be your security blankie or travel mate or if you live in a cooler climate, this is a very good choice for you.
- This jacket has two clear snaps that disappear into the fabric at the bottom of the shawl collar to help the lapel drape nicely.
- The Aunt Ethel has slouchy shoulders and a generous fit, keeping in line with its bohemian roots.

Please note that all of our jackets are made from antique quilts and the fabric reflects this. Our fabrics are sometimes older than 100 years and we believe that makes them perfectly imperfect. This is what makes them a one-of-a-kind piece of art. All of our garments are pre-washed in a special restoration quilt wash. We recommend spot cleaning if necessary.
