This is an American, antique quilt made circa the 1940s-1960s. It is the traditional Pinwheel quilt pattern. This piece is hand quilted, which is a labor of love and a lost art. The shade of turquoise used in this specific quilt is very punchey and highly unusual. There are some sun fades and color bleaching throughout the turquoise; however, it is faint and we had a difficult time capturing it in the photographs. If you would like to send more details of this, please direct message us and we will send you a video detailing the color inequity.
Please note: on one of the front panels there are very faint stains that we could not lift when we washed it. It is very hard to see in the photos. We tried to capture it in the last photo of the listing.
In our opinion, this quilt is very, very luxe soft, cotton. The quilt has a beautiful drape, it is thin, lightweight, with a very little loft (puffiness).
This jacket has two clear snaps that disappear into the fabric at the bottom of the shawl collar to help the lapel drape nicely.
- The Aunt Ethel has slouchy shoulders and a generous fit, keeping in line with its bohemian roots.
- One Size Fits Most

Please note that all of our jackets are made from antique quilts and the fabric reflects this. Our fabrics are sometimes older than 100 years and we believe that makes them perfectly imperfect. This is what makes them a one-of-a-kind piece of art. All of our garments are pre-washed in a special restoration quilt wash. We recommend spot cleaning if necessary.
