This is an American, antique quilt. It is the traditional log cabin quilt pattern. This is also a scrappy quilt as many scraps were used to finish this piece. Whoever made this piece was very skilled as the logs around the center square are tiny and in excellent shape for its age. It is very hard to find a log cabin in these colors from these eras that have stood the test of time like this piece. In keeping with the nature of this scrap quilt, this contains wools, silks, flannels, and polys. Please note the contrasting fabric on the back of this quilt (inside of the jacket). It is a navy, hunter green, and orange plaid. Surprisingly, this is not a heavy or thick piece. It is light weight with a little loft and overall very comfortable and easy to wear. Perfect for chilly days. We have added a mandarin collar ot the shape of our market jacket. We have hidden a charm as a token of our love.

Please note that all of our jackets are made from antique quilts and the fabric reflects this. Our fabrics are sometimes older than 100 years old and are perfectly worn. We believe this is what makes them special and is part of their charm. All of our garments are pre-washed in special restoration quilt wash. We recommend only spot cleaning if necessary.
