This is an American, antique quilt made circa 1890- 1915. It is beautifully hand quilted and also hand pieced making this a true piece of American, wearable folk art. This quilt is extremely thin and light weight. The white fabrics show minimal yellowing. Lady Lancaster found this relic in Gettysburg, PA. We have hidden a good luck charm somewhere on this piece as a token of our affection for the next owner. One of the biggest compliments to this jacket is the backing fabric of the quilt (inside of the jacket). It is a slate blue, gold, and white gingham contrasting fabric which you can best see when the cuffs are rolled. This piece is a great case study for all of our favorite fabric nerds. As it contains multiple homespun ginghams and other novelty fabrics from the era. We have used buttons with matte gold center as closures down the front. This specific jacket is a size extra small, please see size guide for details.
This quilt is a lightweight quilt and it is very soft.
