The Helen is a mid-length jacket that falls right above the knee. This specific quilt is the traditional Crazy quilt, made circa 1920’s. It is loaded with hand embroidered turkey tracks and other patterned stitching. The fabrics are wool and cotton with no velvets or silks. We have patched this in three places. Aside from those patches, this jacket is in very good condition, especially considering that Crazy quilts generally do not age as well as 100% cotton quilts.
This is a light weight quilt.
This jacket features side slits for generous movement and beautiful drape.
This jacket has two clear snaps at the tips of the collar that secure the lapel if desired.
We were only able to get one pocket out of this due to the smaller size of the quilt.
Fold the architectural collar down to create a lapel if desired.
The Helen Jacket has a generous fit and is not meant to have a tailored look.

Please note that all of our jackets are made from antique quilts and the fabric reflects this. Our fabrics are sometimes older than 100 years old and are perfectly worn. We believe this is what makes them special and is part of their charm. All of our garments are pre-washed in special restoration quilt wash. We recommend only spot cleaning if necessary.
