This is an American, antique quilt made circa 1930s-1940s. It is the traditional Lone Star quilt pattern, in a very untraditional fabric and color combination. This piece contains several historic feed sack fabrics. We are always looking and searching in the most obscure corners to find rare combinations like this piece. We are thrilled to have been able to work with this and offer this to you. It is truly spectacular and we feel the photos do not do this piece justice. The quilt is beautifully hand quilted, it is thin, and light weight. It has not seen a lot of pre love so this piece does hold its structure and we do not consider it to be an overly drapey piece.
- The Aunt Ethel has slouchy shoulders and a generous fit, keeping in line with its bohemian roots.

Please note that all of our jackets are made from antique quilts and the fabric reflects this. Our fabrics are sometimes older than 100 years and we believe that makes them perfectly imperfect. This is what makes them a one-of-a-kind piece of art. All of our garments are pre-washed in a special restoration quilt wash. We recommend spot cleaning if necessary.
