The Helen is a mid-length jacket that falls right above the knee. This specific quilt is made in the traditional Grandma’s Garden pattern. It was made circa 1930’s. Some of the fabrics in this quilt are feed sack fabrics which tell a wonderful story. This quilt has been pre-loved and hung on a wash line to dry many times. As a result the fabrics have been perfectly faded. It is a light/medium weight quilt.
This jacket features side slits for generous movement and beautiful drape.
This Helen jacket features French seams.
Fold the architectural collar has clear snaps that disappear into the fabric for the convenience of holding the collar down once folded.
The Helen Jacket has a generous fit and is not meant to have a tailored look.

Please note that all of our jackets are made from antique quilts and the fabric reflects this. Our fabrics are sometimes older than 100 years old and are perfectly worn. We believe this is what makes them special and is part of their charm. All of our garments are pre-washed in special restoration quilt wash. We recommend only spot cleaning if necessary.
